The Dorset Plane Pull was founded in early 2009 by a small group of individuals who wanted to raise money for two charities close to their heart.
Since then it’s got bigger and better every year and now the Plane Pull helps to raise valuable funds for a number of incredible charities.
To date, the Plane Pull has raised over £225,000 for our beneficiary charities. Every penny of this goes directly to the charities who use it to support all of the amazing work that they do.
Love from Lucy was delighted to be invited to take part this year, and a mad dash took place to pull a team together in 3 weeks. On the day, 26 of Lucy’s family and friends, old and new, gathered together and put all their strength into pulling a Boeing 737 weighing in at 35,000kg for 50 metres!
The team were able to pull the plane in a respectable time of 45.42 seconds, but more importantly raised £2,030 for Love from Lucy.
Thank you so much to those who took part on the day and everyone who contributed by donating.
