Post-Transplant Lymphoproliferative Disorder (PTLD)

Our mission is to raise awareness and provide care packages to individuals affected by Post-Transplant Lymphoproliferative Disorder (PTLD)

About PTLD:

PTLD is a serious condition that can occur after solid organ or hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. It involves the uncontrolled growth of lymphoid cells, triggered by the reactivation of the Epstein-Barr virus (EBV). PTLD can range from benign early lesions to aggressive lymphomas, requiring specialized care and treatment.

What We Do:

  • We can give young patients something personal and soothing during treatments:

  •  Love From Lucy Basket – Age-tailored care packs with cosy socks, lip balm, books, music, games or art supplies.

  •  Please ask your Cancer Nurse Specialist (CNS) or Hospital Social Worker (HSW) to contact us in the first instance.

How You Can Help:

  • Donate: Your financial contribution can make a significant impact on what we can provide in our care packages.

  • Volunteer: Join our dedicated team of volunteers and contribute your time, skills, and passion to help make a difference. We welcome individuals with diverse backgrounds and expertise, whether it’s organizing events, providing emotional support, or assisting with fundraising efforts.
  • Spread the Word: Help us raise awareness by sharing information about PTLD on social media, organizing community events, or simply starting a conversation with friends and family. Together, we can spread the message and create a supportive network for those affected by PTLD.
  • Corporate Partnerships: We invite businesses and organizations to partner with us and support our cause. By becoming a corporate sponsor, you demonstrate your commitment to corporate social responsibility and contribute to improving the lives of PTLD patients.

Join us in our mission to make a difference in the lives of PTLD patients and their families. Together, we can work towards a future where PTLD is better understood, effectively treated, and lives are saved.
